Racing for Rich

As I'm sure you all know, my brother Rich was diagnosed last August with a malignant, late-stage brain tumor called glioblastoma multiforme. At the time of his diagnosis he was a healthy, active 35 year old. It has been a tough six months since then, but he is still fighting. I am so proud of him. He came to Utah, along with his amazing wife and three cute boys, to receive treatment at the Huntsman Cancer Institute. It hasn't been easy for them to leave their home in Kansas City, but we have all been impressed with the exceptional care Rich has received at Huntsman. My family has found a way to say thank you and to "give back" to this awesome institution and hospital. Members of our family have formed a LIVE RICH team and will be racing in the Salt Lake marathon, half-marathon, 5K and bike race in honor of Rich and to raise money for the Huntsman Cancer Foundation. I am really excited about this. All of the money we raise will go directly to GBM research. The race is April 19th. If any of you would like to donate, go to https://www.active.com/donate/huntsman08/rlloyd

We need to find a cure for this awful disease!

Hi Emma, I miss you. We both work at the same place and I haven't even seen you. I also have a blog and I'm going to add you to my link. I don't know if you need runners, but I am running the moab half next sat and I could run this race too.

Hi Emma. What are you and Blair doing...running? biking? How far?

That sounds fun. We're praying for Rich.
